The Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) successfully organised a seminar titled "Application of AI in Business Efficiency" held at Sheraton Dhaka recently, says a press release.

The session was inaugurated by Guest of Honour Ben Carson, Trade and Investment Commissioner of the Australian High Commission in Dhaka.

In his welcome remarks, ABCCI President Syed Moazzam Hossain underlined the chamber's commitment to building AI awareness and ensuring businesses, regardless of size, are equipped to embrace technological change.

Keynote speakers included Sadiq M Alam, Odoo Certified Functional Consultant and Founder of Metamorphosis Ltd, and AlimuzzamanNayan, Digital Business Transformation Expert. They highlighted how AI can reduce costs, streamline operations, and drive innovation. The discussion covered a wide spectrum of AI applications-automation, predictive analytics, chatbots, workflow optimization, and hyper-personalization-supported by global case studies.

They emphasized that while many users limit their experience to ChatGPT or Gemini, AI offers far more powerful tools that can simplify daily tasks and increase productivity. The speakers also introduced Odoo's AI agent, showcasing how integrated solutions can optimize business functions. Participants were encouraged to practice AI-driven tools regularly, making them part of their everyday work culture.

A total of 27 participants from different industries attended the programme. To recognize their engagement, each participant received a Certificate of Participation, which was jointly presented by the Guest of Honour, Ben Carson, and ABCCI President Syed Moazzam Hossain.

President Syed Moazzam Hossain encouraged participants to adopt AI tools in daily practice, stressing that companies of all sizes can benefit from AI adoption. Echoing this sentiment, Alam quoted Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos: "AI won't replace writers or take your job, but the person who uses AI well might."
